RESET. RECONNECT. RISE TOGETHER

MEET YOUR GUIDE
I’m Andrea, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Resilience Coach, and Endurance Athlete. I grew up on a small farm in North Carolina and have spent my career walking beside women who carry more than most. I created Group Therapeutic Rucking to step outside the traditional therapy box and bring healing back into the body.
With a foundation in functional fitness, mindfulness-based ecotherapy, and trauma-informed care, I guide women and groups through intentional outdoor experiences designed to clear stress, regulate the nervous system, and restore connection. This is real-world mental health support that is grounded, purposeful, and free from fluff or performance.
Let’s move through it together.

EXPERIENCE ROOTED IN PRACTICE
I’ve trained, rucked, and competed in demanding endurance events — pushing my own mental and physical limits. Through that process, I learned that true resilience isn’t about constant pushing. It’s about knowing when to challenge yourself and when to slow down, listen, and reset. That understanding shapes how I guide women today. I’ve worked with high performers, service-oriented professionals, and women who carry the weight of their families, careers, and communities. Many arrive feeling exhausted, stuck in old patterns, or unsure how to rest without losing momentum. Together, we create space for reconnection, strength, and sustainable growth.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Service runs deep in my family. My grandfather and great-uncle served in World War II, my brother is an Air Force Veteran, and I was married to a Marine Veteran and Correctional Officer for 24 years. I didn’t just witness a life of service — I lived alongside it. Through those years, I saw the quiet cost of always being strong. The pressure to hold it together. The habit of pushing through exhaustion without pause. That experience shaped how I understand stress, resilience, and the unseen weight many women carry every day.
That’s why I built Group Therapeutic Rucking. Traditional talk therapy can fall short when the body has been in survival mode for too long. This work offers a different path, one that meets women where they are, respects their strength, and supports real change through movement, nature, and shared experience. This isn’t about sitting in an office revisiting the same patterns. It’s about stepping outside, moving with purpose, and engaging the work physically, mentally, and emotionally. I won’t rush the process or minimize your experience. I will meet you with clarity, compassion, and steady guidance, walking alongside you through every step forward.

WHY THIS WORKS
When Everything Else Hasn’t
I won’t coddle you. If you’re looking for soft encouragement without action, this isn’t it. I push because I know what you’re capable of. I tailor this to YOU. This is not a cookie-cutter approach. Every ruck, every challenge, every breakthrough is built around your specific struggles and goals. I walk the walk. I don’t just teach this—I live it. I know what it feels like to fight through exhaustion, self-doubt, and uncertainty. And I know what’s on the other side. You don’t need saving. You need a challenge that forces you to rise. I’m here to guide you through it.
