ABOUT ANDREA BAILEY

Founder of Evolving Mind and Body, LLC
Creator of TheraRuck™

Andrea Bailey believes that healing becomes most transformative when it is experienced. Not just understood. While insight is essential, lasting change happens when the body, nervous system, mind, and the natural world are invited into the conversation together. That belief became the foundation of TheraRuck™, a guided, nature-based wellness method that helps people release what they've been carrying through weighted movement, reflective processing, nervous system support, and whole-person healing.

Her understanding of resilience grew through profound personal challenges, including the loss of her mother, a years-long fertility journey, motherhood, professional burnout, reinvention, and the end of a 24-year marriage. Alongside those experiences, Andrea immersed herself in endurance events and obstacle course racing, discovering that physical challenge often unlocked emotional clarity in ways conversation alone could not. Through countless miles, heavy rucks, sleepless nights, and moments that demanded courage over certainty, she learned firsthand that the body has an extraordinary capacity to carry burdens and an equally remarkable ability to release them.

Everything crystallized during Spartan Agoge Class 009, a multi-day endurance event in the mountains of Vermont. Carrying a heavily weighted ruck over rugged terrain while connecting deeply with fellow participants, Andrea experienced something far beyond physical accomplishment. She realized that the combination of movement, challenge, nature, reflection, and human connection was creating regulation, clarity, perspective, and profound nervous system shifts. In that moment, she saw the possibility of bringing those same principles into a guided experience that could help others reconnect with themselves in a meaningful and sustainable way.

As the founder of Evolving Mind and Body, LLC, Andrea created TheraRuck™ after years of recognizing a gap in traditional approaches to wellness. Throughout her work with individuals navigating anxiety, grief, burnout, trauma, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions, she witnessed the same pattern repeatedly: people could describe their struggles with remarkable insight, yet their bodies were still carrying the full weight of those experiences. She envisioned a different path. One that honored the connection between mind, body, energy, spirit, and the restorative power of nature.

That vision was shaped as much by Andrea's own life as it was by her professional experience.

Today, Andrea continues to evolve TheraRuck™ as the signature methodology of Evolving Mind and Body, LLC while positioning it as a movement that redefines what strength and healing can look like. Her work invites people to stop measuring strength by how much they can carry alone and instead discover the resilience that comes from moving through life's challenges with greater awareness, intention, and self-trust.

Andrea's approach is informed by both lived experience and extensive professional training. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapist, Functional Fitness Instructor, Reiki Master, and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional whose work integrates evidence-informed mental health practices with movement, nature, and whole-person wellness.

Her mission is simple: to help people remember who they are beneath the weight they've been carrying and to discover that there is, indeed, Strength in Every Step™.
